Hey, so this is all new for me. Being more of a webby graphics and advertisement designer I’ve never had the opportunity to try my hand at something a little different. Browsing through Deviant Art I’ve always admired the “SpaceScene” images that go into fantastic detail. I decided to make this my starting point, and researched into a few tutorials on how to create some of the amazing effects.

This is the first space scene I have ever created so isn’t as amazing of most of the pro’s. But since it was my first attempt I was very happy with the final outcome. This image consists of many separate sections including a star field, a gas planet, a earth-like planet, a sun, moons and distant nebula’s and asteroids. I also played around with an impact/shockwave effect on the side of the larger planet.

I am always looking to broaden my skill range and would like to thank all the Deviant artists whom have taken the time to produce very helpful tutorials.
